Medical Imaging Research and Device Development 

The field of medical imaging has grown significantly during the past decade. Southwest Research Institute® (SwRI®) engineers are at the forefront of developing new technologies, such as Raman microscopy and in vivo fluorescent nano-particle assays, as well as applying existing technologies to novel applications.

SwRI is an independent R&D firm that provides assistance in the development of medical devices and systems. With a technical and support staff of over 3,000, we can put together a multidisciplinary team to work on all aspects of a project. We manage projects with the understanding that time to market is critical.

The SwRI Bioengineering Section is ISO 13485:2003 certified and compliant with the FDA Quality System Regulation. We have experience developing high-quality documentation necessary for 510K, PMA, and EU submissions.
