Services in Combustion Toxicity Testing

The City of New York has established a requirement that certain materials be tested in accordance with a toxicity test method (UPITT) and that the results of that test be filed with the Department of Buildings under Material Evaluation Approval (MEA) submittals.

The Institute, specializing for more than 10 years in testing materials for the toxicity of smoke, offers the University of Pittsburgh test method performed in accordance with the requirements of the state of New York. Consultation and assistance are available from our staff for complying with required data filing and for classification of materials.
