Seal compatibility testing at SwRI determines the degree of compatibility of lubricating oils and cured elastomers used in the automotive industry.

The compatibility of new and alternative fuels with current storage, fuel system, and engine components is critical to the safe and trouble-free usage of these fuels. Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) can develop a test program to evaluate the alternative fuels' compatibility with various fuel system components.
