Typical Lubrication Network

Both internally developed and commercially available software programs are used by engine design engineers at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) to analyze fluid circuits.

Benefits of Fluid Flow System Analyses

Some of the benefits of fluid flow analyses are:

  • Minimize parasitic losses within fluid passages

  • Ensure balance of pump to load

  • Ensure appropriate distribution of fluid flow and pressure throughout the network

  • Support the design of fuel, lubricant, and coolant systems
