A wide variety of laboratory and ancillary equipment at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) supports complex development projects on diesel engines. Dynamometers as large as 2,000 horsepower and 10,000 rpm allow testing of almost any production engine.
Types of Engine Data AccessibleSophisticated evaluation cell data acquisition and control systems allow our engineers and scientists complete access to all types of engine data including the in-cylinder combustion process.
Specialized facilities exist for unique project needs that are not listed above.
For more information about our diesel engine combustion research facilities and capabilities, or how you can contract with SwRI, please contact Darius Mehta at dmehta@swri.org or (210) 522-2617.
