Vehicle Component Evaluation Areas

Some specific component testing areas include:

  • Kinematics

  • Stability

  • Structural integrity

  • Vibration

  • Noise

  • Modal analysis

Advantages of Vehicle Component Evaluation

Isolation of vehicle powertrain components allows for much more rigorous testing and performance evaluation for a particular piece of equipment. Component evaluation serves many client needs, such as:

  • Design improvement

  • Durability analysis

  • Failure analysis

  • Benchmarking parameters against competitive products

  • Virtual model development

Vehicle Powertrain Component Evaluation Facilities

Component development is approached holistically, with research and evaluation making use of readily available testing facilities and hardware, including:

  • Reconfigurable dynamometer stands

  • Full vehicle dynamometer

  • Full vehicle test track

  • On- and off-road testing
