Implementing and validating modern controls applications continue to be an increasing part of the Advanced Vehicle Technology activities at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI). Modern controllers are increasingly dependent on model-based control algorithms. With an in-depth understanding of final target systems (hardware) and real-time control (software), engineers are able to develop the realistic models needed for use in those algorithms.
Powertrain Component DevelopmentMembers of the Advanced Vehicle Technology section of SwRI have been instrumental in the development of SwRI-proprietary powertrain control software and hardware components. Control schemes for both specific vehicle components and powertrains have been produced for both government and commercial client projects.
For more information about our control systems development capabilities, or how you can contract with SwRI, please contact Cheuk Ng at cng@swri.org or (210) 522-3311.
