Since 1970, drivetrain test and evaluation systems have been developed internally and for clients by Southwest Research Institute (SwRI). Our expertise is derived from setting up and testing transmissions made by a variety of manufacturers. Drivetrain test systems are turnkey and include on-site setup and training.

Each test and evaluation system is a custom unit designed specifically for clients and their prospective requirements. Systems are delivered and commissioned by SwRI and include a comprehensive set of operation manuals along with detailed parts lists and schematics. Our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) system is a state-of-the-art, real-time engine and vehicle simulator.
