Training delivery and training operations management systems offered by Southwest Research Institute include:

  • Enterprise application and database development

  • Enterprise web-based tools

  • Effective delivery of content in an environment of increasing IT security issues

  • User validation, preferences, and activity tracking

In addition to the training systems listed above, SwRI:

  • Develops interactive multimedia instructional content

  • Performs portal integration

  • Supports Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Processes (DIACAP)

SwRI-Developed Enterprise Systems

Two complex enterprise systems developed and maintained by SwRI staff include:

  • Aircraft Maintenance Training Enterprise System (AMTES)

  • Aircraft Maintenance Electronic Testing (AMET)

Aircraft Maintenance Electronic Testing is a module within Aircraft Maintenance Training Enterprise System that appears as an independent application.

In addition to these two enterprise systems, engineers at SwRI created a new entry point to Aircraft Maintenance Training Enterprise System for Command Independent Electronic Testing (eTesting) and Air Force Portal Support.

eTesting

The eTesting module of our Aircraft Maintenance Training Enterprise System was the Air Mobility Command entry for the 2008 United States Air Force Chief of Staff Team Excellence Award (CSTEA). With very strong competition, SwRI's innovative system was selected over many other high-tech solutions as an Air Force “Best Practice” by the CSTEA representatives in Washington.
