SwRI maintains a set of tools that support on-demand retrieval of expert knowledge and assist clients in maintaining capture priorities.

A growing number of organizations are in danger of losing the valuable knowledge that exists within the minds and practices of their experts. Baby boomers are retiring. Experts move to new areas or new organizations and a void is often left behind if their valuable tacit knowledge isn’t captured.

Based on how experts build their knowledge areas over the years, Southwest Research Institute has developed a process designed to effectively extract the knowledge that is important to the organization and that must be preserved for the current and upcoming workforce.
