A wide range of performance support systems have been developed by Southwest Research Institute, including:

  • Human/computer interfaces

  • Data collection/reduction techniques

  • Visualization

  • Relational database development and integration

  • Expert knowledge capture

Web-Based Database Applications

SwRI engineers develop web-based database applications that assist Air Force manpower staff in performing the officer and enlisted grades allocation process, Colonel grades tracking, and reporting and monitoring compliance of both.

 

Health-Related Applications

Another system assists senior leadership in gauging the overall health of the Air Force by reporting data on specific performance measures concerning personnel and operations. Some of the functionality developed for these new systems include:

  • Improved data visualization

  • Storage of customized data views

  • Filtering capabilities
