Statistical Analysis
The Statistical Analysis group was established more than
22 years ago to implement
statistical approaches to solving research and development problems in the physical and
engineering sciences. Statistical methodology plays a key role in experimental research.
Statistics aid in the efficient design and analysis of experiments, in the improvement of
technology and productivity, and in problem-solving and decision-making processes. The
section staff has extensive experience in numerous areas of statistical design and related
methodology. Statistical modeling, regression analysis, and experimental design are a few
of the techniques used to aid in the statistical support of a variety of projects.
