Fuel Conformance
The Fuel Conformance Section of the Petroleum Products Research Department at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) frequently provides field sampling services of fuels at service station, dealerships, and storage terminals. In custom-designed programs, SwRI personnel work with clients to create programs to meet specific client needs. Sampling kits can be sent to terminals and dealerships for fuel sampling and, if required, SwRI independent contractors will pick up and ship fuel samples back to SwRI's laboratory for testing.
At service stations, SwRI independent contractors purchase fuel samples at specified service stations and ship the samples to SwRI's laboratory for testing. A database of independent contractors includes personnel located throughout the United States. Past projects within the Fuel Conformance Group have logged and processed as many as 350 samples per day.
