Intelligent Systems Capabilities
The Intelligent Systems Department in the Automation and Data Systems Division has extensive experience in the development and deployment of Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS), Connected Vehicles (CV) and intelligent vehicles. SwRI is the developer of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) SunGuide® and Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Lonestar® traffic management systems. SwRI has developed multiple fully autonomous vehicles as well as cooperative vehicle and active safety systems that enhance the safety and mobility of commercial and military vehicles.
