Services are performed in the Information Systems Engineering Department of Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) that provide solutions to support the full spectrum of information system needs of a diverse client base. We have a long history of commitment and adherence to software process improvement and continue to reliably produce the highest quality work through a proven systems engineering process. Our commitment to excellence is evident through our appraised attainment of Level 5 within the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®). This distinction is held by a limited number of American companies and even fewer applied research and development institutions.
The Information Systems Engineering Department consists of more than 80 technically degreed staff and support professionals who hold degrees ranging from bachelor to doctorate in computer science, mathematics, and a variety of engineering disciplines.
