Driving Directions
Brief History of SwRI
|
For more than 25 years, the Biomedical Engineering Section
at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) has supported the healthcare
industry through innovative research and development.
Clients contract with SwRI for healthcare technology
solutions for several reasons, including:
-
As part of a
long-held tradition, intellectual property rights arising from
sponsored research at the Institute are often assigned to the
client. SwRI generally retains the rights to Institute-funded
advancements.
-
Our world-class
laboratories and staff of more than
3,100 people provide the most
comprehensive design, development, and testing resource in the
world.
-
Customer service is a
priority—85% of our business is return business.
-
We are independent
and nonprofit.
-
Rapid turnaround is
key—we understand the need to rapidly commercialize technologies.
-
Technical diversity
is our culture—with 11 technical divisions, we can provide a
multidisciplinary approach to problem solving.
