Orthopedic devices are designed, modeled, analyzed and tested at SwRI.

Orthopedic implants have been developed by engineers at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) for many years. Devices are designed, modeled, analyzed and tested at SwRI. Tissue simulations can be created and used for performance evaluation. Capitalizing on the wide array of expertise of more than 3,046 staff members at SwRI, designs can include unique surface modifications and specialized materials, such as bioresorbables, controlled release growth factors, and memory materials.
