TMAC offers several programs that can help you increase your profitability and thrive in a new era focused on sustainability. One program, under the umbrella of the Green Suppliers Network, is a federal and local technical assistance initiative called Economy, Energy, and Environment (E3). This program provides technical assessments and training in the areas of lean manufacturing, pollution prevention, energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emission reduction. Read more about the E3 Initiative.

Lean. Clean. Energy.

As the first example of the national E3 Initiative, TMAC South Central is partnering with CPS Energy, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Department of Commerce, and the San Antonio city government to work with local manufacturers on a program called Lean. Clean. Energy.

The Lean. Clean. Energy. program is designed to assist manufacturers through a combination of employee training and on-site assessment. Employees are introduced to principles of lean manufacturing, energy efficiency and pollution prevention in a class room environment. They are then challenged to go out into their own manufacturing environment and identify areas of opportunity.

Specific processes or systems are identified for detailed measurement and study, culminating in a final report that provides the manufacturer with detailed implementation recommendations and estimated savings. Findings typically qualify for CPS Energy’s expansive rebate programs.
