Medical Systems Concepts and Architectures System Engineering

The staff in the Medical Systems Concepts and Architectures Group at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) provide expertise in system engineering. Core competencies include:

• Requirements collection and analysis

• Operational scenario development

• Component analysis and selection including trade studies

• System architecture design and development

• System testing

• Performance analysis and testing

• Deployment and deployment planning

• System acceptance testing

• Maintenance and maintenance planning

SwRI staff take a lead role in the system engineering activities for customers and also facilitate customer activities in these areas. Staff conduct system engineering activities for the customer and work with customer system engineers to ensure that projects meet the needs of the customer.
