Technical manual development expertise is offered by Southwest Research Institute (SwRI). Our engineers have extensive experience in developing new technical manuals as well as updating existing ones relating to aircraft engine test cells, aircraft avionics, and engine health management.

SwRI developed the Engine Health Management Plus Technical Orders (TO) consisting of 14 manuals for various engines type model series including these engines:
Each TO was written with little or no previous content available. The information for these TOs was developed by engineers using their operational understanding of engines, controls system theory, sensors and signals, and engine trending software.
Technical Documentation Content
Content for each engine type model series TO was developed to reflect the unique set of software tools and maintenance philosophies available for each engine. Each TO contained an overview of engine health management and how it related to various other programs and policies, information about sensors and signals in the software, instructions on how to use available trending software, and information about engine performance. Some of the TOs contained troubleshooting trees which are used by the client to determine which line replaceable unit is failing. The engine trending software documented in the TOs included the Comprehensive Engine Trending and Diagnostic System (CETADS) and the Jet Engine Trending Tool (JETT).
