With more than 50 years of experience, the Signal Exploitation and Geolocation Division of Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) is able to help the U.S. Navy, Army, and Air Force, U.S. government agencies, foreign governments, and commercial clients with their complex direction-finding (DF), COMINT, SIGINT, and other electronic warfare systems by offering services such as:

  • Design

  • Development

  • Fabrication

  • Testing

Production and Operations Department Production Team

The Production and Operations Department production team experience includes:

  • Advanced signal acquisition

  • Advanced signal recognition

  • DF systems

  • Tracking systems

Production Team Transitioning Experience

The production team has more than 35 years of experience in transitioning complete systems from research and development (R&D) and design engineering to:

  • One-of-a-kind prototypes

  • One-of-a-kind engineering development models

  • Low-rate initial production (LRIP)

  • Full-rate production (FRP)

The production team has fielded more than 200 systems of these various configurations worldwide. SwRI engineers are experienced in helping clients solve the technical challenges of maintaining fielded systems.

Production Team Management

The SwRI Signal Exploitation and Geolocation Division facilities and staff are available to perform classified work at any level. Using a progressive management approach, the Production Team manages and completes multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining 100% on-time delivery.

To assure client needs are met or exceeded, state-of-the-art project management tools are used, including:
