Recent projects completed by the Production and Operations Department production team at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) include: Combat DF and Cooperative Outboard Logistics Update (COBLU) Direction Finding Systems [OE-326(V)/SRS-1(V)]SwRI-delivered COBLU DF systems operating in the severe shipboard environment are a critical element of the U.S. Navy cryptologic mission on combat ships. Transportable Radio Direction Finder (TRDF) Systems [AN/SSQ-120]Rapid transition to production of the SwRI-designed system integrated commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technology with custom-built antennas. The U.S. Navy is able to cross-deck or transport these systems between ships to meet urgent operational requirements. Canadian Patrol Frigate Direction Finding (DF) System Upgrade [AN/SRD-504]We performed a complete upgrade and modernization of the DF system originally designed and built by SwRI in the 1980s to incorporate new computers, software, and signal processing capabilities while maintaining the robust antenna design.
For more information about how we can help you convert your system from R&D and design to production, or how you can contract with SwRI, please contact Robert Torres, PMP, at rtorres@swri.org or (210) 522-2766.
