The Environmental Performance of Materials Section has extensive expertise in metallurgy, corrosion, materials science, mechanical and chemical engineering, computer modeling, and failure analysis.

Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) develops test methods for new applications and materials and conducts routine and customized corrosion testing in challenging environments. We perform applied research and development, testing, analysis, and modeling for both government and commercial clients including:
