Biomechanics & Human Performance

HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?

We use advanced computational and experimental techniques and facilities to address biomechanics-related problems. Probabilistic mechanics and reliability methods reveal how the inherent variability and uncertainty associated with biological systems affect predictions of system performance and functionality, such as in an investigation of the probability of cervical spine (neck) injury to naval aviators due to high-acceleration maneuvers. We help address musculoskeletal biomechanics-related problems such as osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, bone fracture risk, and musculoskeletal injury risks.
