Testing of products at both cryogenic
and elevated-temperature environments is available at
SwRI. |
The Flow Component Testing Facilities (FCTF) at
Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) have a number of different
facilities that allow them to provide a variety of valve integrity
testing services, such as:
-
Cryogenic valve
testing
-
Valve fugitive
emissions testing
-
Seal tests
-
Flow coefficient
testing
-
Erosion testing
-
Pump performance
evaluation
-
Noise and
vibration testing
Testing is conducted utilizing customized
procedures as well as testing from standards including:
| |
 |
| |
This blast chamber can be
internally heated to provide high pressure-high
temperature conditions for testing. |
-
ANSI/ISA S75.02
(Flow coefficient testing)
-
BS 6364
(Cryogenic valve testing)
-
ISO 15848
(Fugitive emissions testing)
-
SPE 77/312
(Fugitive emissions testing)
Specific test capabilities include:
-
Nitrogen gas
flows up to 230 MMSCFD and 3,000 psig
-
Water flow rates
up to 32,000 B/D (900 gpm)
-
Sand slurry flow
rates up to 10,000 B/D (300 gpm)
-
Temperature
testing from -320°F to 500°F
-
Static pressure testing up to 20,000 psig
with water or nitrogen
