"Controlling Pulsation in Compressor and Piping Systems," is a short course periodically conducted at Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio. This course, sponsored by the Gas Machinery Research Council (GMRC), teaches:

  • Skills for controlling acoustical (pulsation) and mechanical shaking forces in compressors, pumps, and piping systems

  • Solutions to existing plant problems

Chain describing the root source of some failures

Controlling Pulsations in Compressor and Piping Systems is a short course offered by SwRI.

Recent attendees of this short course have stated that the limited class size ensured each person had a chance to actively participate, which made the course more valuable than larger courses they had attended in the past.

Our next short course, Controlling Pulsations in Compressor and Piping Systems, will be will be held October 20–22, 2009.

For more information about compressor system or pump system analysis capabilities at SwRI or how you can contract with SwRI, please contact Ben A. White, P.E., at bwhite@swri.org or (210) 522-2554.  We can offer you the best approach for solving your compressor system or pump system analysis problem.
