Aerospace Structures

The Aerospace Structures Section at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) focuses on the development and life management of structures with particular emphasis on all sizes and types of aerospace vehicles. It provides turn-key research and development services, state-of-the-art structural analysis capability, and full-scale vehicle to small-scale component testing for all segments of the aerospace community.

The Aerospace Structures Section has a long-established history in supporting Aircraft Structural Integrity Programs (ASIP). It is at the forefront of structural development areas such as:

  • Probabilistic structural design
  • Structural health management
  • Bonded repair development
