Working with a startup company with only three employees, Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) developed their idea for an expandable spinal cage. SwRI performed the following:

  • Designed and tested the device
  • Wrote portions of the 510K application
  • Developed marketing animations
  • Assisted in manufacturing transfer to the licensee

The work resulted in 18 U.S. patent applications for the client.
