Working with a startup company with only three employees, Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) developed their idea for an expandable spinal cage. SwRI performed the following:
- Designed and tested the device
- Wrote portions of the 510K application
- Developed marketing animations
- Assisted in manufacturing transfer to the licensee
The work resulted in 18 U.S. patent applications for the client.
