QUALIFICATIONS:   The M-4 level position is normally a section manager whose primary role is to plan, organize, lead, and coordinate a critical number of exempt and nonexempt personnel, and other Institute resources, in completing systems, databases and network design programs primarily within the Aerospace Engineering field. A Bachelor's degree in engineering or science appropriate for the department's activities and completion of relevant management training courses or prior experience is normally required. Emphasis in this position is on establishing goals for the section, leading the successful promotion and execution of training technical services program areas consistent with those goals and the mission of the department and division and hiring and developing staff necessary to meet established objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Individuals should have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills as well as proven success in building technical training programs. In prior management positions, the person should have demonstrated capabilities for leading others and administering to their employees' technical and professional needs.
