QUALIFICATIONS: The analyst must have completed a four-year college degree from an accredited university in a computer science related discipline. Professional engineering registration is considered equivalent. In this initial assignment, the individual must exercise judgment, diligence, and attention to detail, and demonstrate an aptitude for carrying out responsible technical assignments. RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Analyst position is entry-level for technical personnel who must have the ability and expertise to understand complex technical instructions from senior staff in developing information systems. Requires the ability to read and understand technical documentation and data, and transfer data to hardware/software information systems design. Aptitude for working with medical information systems, communications, manufacturing automation, intelligent transportation systems, or business process analysis is required.
Analysts in the Automation and Data Systems Division usually perform the following functions:
- Performs studies, analyses and evaluation of information technology systems.
- Performs market surveys of technical products for use in deliverable products.
- Has knowledge and expertise to complex information technology systems design technology and data from senior staff and insert into information technology system product.
- Develops and prepares technical documentation for delivery to client.
- Performs technical evaluations of products and delivers reports to senior staff or client.
