QUALIFICATIONS:   Must be currently enrolled as a graduate student in an engineering or science program in an accredited college or university.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  A temporary employee who works in an engineering or science capacity as part of a project team. Typically works at a level equivalent to Engineer/Analyst while performing the following functions:

  • Performs routine engineering or scientific tasks as assigned by more experienced researchers or management, normally as part of a project team. 
  • Installs hardware for development and test environments on large software projects. 
  • Installs necessary software on development and test hardware. 
  • Contributes ideas for improving project work processes. 
  • Searches literature, conducts surveys and experiments, collects, analyzes, interprets, and reports results. 
  • Develops preliminary findings for review by a more experienced researcher. 
  • Prepares written reports of work for presentation to clients. 
  • Assists in the preparation, presentation, and follow-up of research proposals.
