QUALIFICATIONS:  Five years experience in a technical support position. High school or equivalent education and a combination of five to ten years of continued education or trade school and/or related experience. Associate's degree preferred. Provide key support to scientific and engineering staff. Under project leader review, exercise considerable latitude in carrying out technical instructions in selecting, adapting, and modifying standard procedures. Supervise subordinate technical support staff effectively in completion of project activities and communicate well with scientific and engineering staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Uses current computer-aided-design software packages to document mechanical and electrical designs provided by the engineering staff on the project. Produces illustrations from hand drawn sketches and notes. Competent user of the division configuration management system and other drawing and documentation processes relevant to drafting tasks.
