QUALIFICATIONS:   The engineer must have completed a four-year college degree from an accredited university in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline. Professional engineering registration is considered equivalent. In this initial assignment, the individual must exercise judgment, diligence, and attention to detail and demonstrate an aptitude for carrying out responsible technical assignments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  An individual at this level has the following responsibilities supporting Direction Finding, Signal Acquisition, and Electronic Warfare program research and development:

  • Performs studies, engineering and evaluation of signal exploitation and geolocation related technology systems.
  • Performs market surveys of technical products for use in deliverable products.
  • Provides knowledge and expertise to complex signal exploitation and geolocation related technology systems design and data from senior staff and insert into signal exploitation and geolocation related technology into products.
  • Develops and prepares technical documentation for delivery to client.
  • Perform technical evaluation of products and deliver reports to senior staff or client.
