QUALIFICATIONS:  Analysts at this level must have a four-year college degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline and at least two years of technical experience, demonstrating a meaningful level of technical accomplishments. A Masters degree in a scientific, engineering, or technical field is highly recommended. The research areas of concentration are for signal exploitation and geolocation project initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  An individual at this level has the following responsibilities supporting Direction Finding, Signal Acquisition, and Electronic Warfare program research and development:

  • Applies approved standard software development practices to the development of signal exploitation and geolocation related systems.
  • Designs, develops, enhances, reengineers, or integrates software applications.
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, or enhances signal exploitation and geolocation related software applications.
  • Establishes working relationships with clients consistent with project requirements.
  • Supervises or coordinates the work of technical and support staff assigned to specific projects.
  • Serves has phase manager on major projects and has project manager on projects of limited scope and complexity, meets project/phase technical costs and schedule objectives, and organizes project teams.
