QUALIFICATIONS:  The Senior Program Manager must have demonstrated the capability to promote and lead projects of significant scope and complexity on projects related to signal exploitation and geolocation systems. This individual is expected to manage and lead multidisciplinary, multi-divisional proposal and project teams. A Bachelors degree in a non-technical, including business, or technical field required, with at least five-years of related technical experience. An advanced degree is desirable. This individual will have received formal training in program management. Outstanding organizational management communications, technical, and interpersonal skills are essential.

RESPONSIBILITIESThe Senior Program manager’s primary responsibilities are in the development of a specific area(s) of technology and Institute-wide management and coordination of project and program activity. The senior program manager naturally results from successful growth of a program or section manager. Individuals at this level would be expected to organize successful research and development programs in new and demanding areas of technology, which may involve complex collaboration, teaming, and coordination with several divisions and outside organizations. Projects often involve multiple subcontractors and multi-disciplinary technical teams. It is expected that individuals at this level will successfully manage multi-million dollar projects with multiple phases and tasks for government contractors or private industry.
