QUALIFICATIONS: Scientists
at this level must have a four-year college degree in science,
engineering, or a related discipline and at least five years of
technical experience. This experience must include a meaningful level of
technical accomplishments and successful project management. The
research areas of concentration are for signal exploitation and
geolocation project initiatives. A Masters or a Doctorate degree in a
scientific, engineering, or technical field is highly recommended. This
individual will receive regular training in new signal exploitation and
geolocation related technology tools has they emerge. They will have
hands-on experience with signal exploitation and geolocation related
tools. RESPONSIBILITIES:
An individual at this level has the following responsibilities
supporting Direction Finding, Signal Acquisition, and Electronic Warfare
program research and development:
- With knowledge of the range of current and
emerging signal exploitation and geolocation related technology tools
and techniques, helps the client and development team understand new
possibilities by using leading edge technologies to meet client
objectives.
- Designs, develops, enhances or reengineers
complex signal exploitation and geolocation related technology systems,
and generally takes a technical leadership role or, in some chases,
personally has more complex tasks.
- Performs studies, analyses, and evaluations
of signal exploitation and geolocation related technology systems, such
has requirements analysis, feasibility studies, or cost/benefit
analyses.
- Plans, designs, coordinate, and control the
progress of project work to meet client objectives; prepares and
presents reports to clients.
- Solves highly specialized technical
objectives or problems where the use of creative, imaginative solutions
is required.
- Analyzes, designs, develops, or enhances
signal exploitation and geolocation related software applications.
- Performs technical evaluation of assigned
personnel.
