SwRI Ann Arbor, Michigan
Support for Office of Automotive Engineering Program
The Ann Arbor Technical Center office, established in spring 2005, offers automotive technical and program support to clients located in southeast Michigan and Canada. This office houses several SwRI engineers experienced in engine and vehicle controls.
Southwest Research Institute's Ann Arbor Technical Center office was established to offer on-site technical support to the EPA and other regional clients in the Michigan area in support of SwRI's goal to be the globally recognized, unbiased and preferred partner for powertrain and vehicle research and development services.
SwRI is currently performing on-site engine and vehicle controls development for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency office in Ann Arbor and the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC). The work includes development and implementation of advanced combustion control systems as well as control of hydraulic hybrid vehicles.
