Thank you to all those who were able to attend the DAAAC Symposium! The weather in San Antonio was great, but not so good in other parts of the country, making travel rather difficult. The final attendance was 59 people from 34 companies and organizations. A full list of the attendees can be downloaded from the DAAAC webpage at www.daaac.swri.org. The presentations given can also be downloaded from the DAAAC webpage.
We extend a special thank you to John Yan from Eaton for the guest presentation. SwRI hopes that all of the material presented was informative and useful. The open discussion was very good, with lots of feedback to SwRI on the proposed DAAAC Consortium. As a result of the discussions, SwRI will revise the proposal and contracts given to the attendees. New documents should be mailed out within a few weeks. We will also send these out to those people and companies that were not able to attend the meeting, but had requested the proposal and contract. Given the feedback, the new proposal will include a more detailed possible test plan to be discussed and finalized at the consortium kick-off meeting. The kick-off meeting and official start date for the consortium has been moved to June 13, 2008 to coincide with the next HEDGE™ and Clean Diesel V PAC meetings.
For further information about the DAAAC-HD and DAAAC-LD projects and other potential DAAAC projects, please contact Dr. Gordon Bartley at (210) 522-5871, or gbartley@swri.org.
