Research Engineer/Senior Research Engineer
(Fluid Mechanics)

SUMMARY:  Conduct natural gas and multiphase flow related projects; design test fixtures and perform data analysis; design, implement, and support data acquisition solutions; design and conduct laboratory experiments; troubleshoot equipment problems; oversee and manage a project’s technical activities, cost, and scheduling; deal directly with customers; supervise subordinate staff; develop and deliver presentations to customers and lead the promotion of new projects.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  Requires a BS degree (MS preferred) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with course work or experience in fluid mechanics and mechanical design, and 5 years engineering experience, preferably related to flow measurement and preferably within the oil and gas industry. Must have at least a 3.5 GPA. Must have an engineering background; excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills; familiarity with instrumentation used for fluids experiments, electronics, data acquisition systems, ability to manage projects and promote laboratory capabilities. A valid/clear driver’s license is required.
