SUMMARY: Perform technical activities related to structural design, analysis, and operations of facilities for processing, handling, storing, and disposing nuclear materials; make client site visits and inspections; conduct independent analysis of structural and foundation systems using CNWRA and commercially available computer codes; prepare technical reports and journal articles; make presentations to technical and advisory groups, and testify at public meetings, if necessary.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires a BS degree in Structural Engineering with 2 years related experience or an MS degree with 1 year related experience. Must have at least a 3.5 GPA. Course work in structural design, dynamic analysis, numerical methods, and reliability analysis preferred. Must have excellent writing and speaking skills. A valid/clear driver’s license is required.
