SUMMARY: Perform work with small teams to develop and deploy Java-web-database applications for space missions and project management systems; design other software programs as required to support space missions, space science requirements, and other requirements; participate in the software engineering process (requirements, design, integrate, test, document); communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team of computer scientists, scientists, and engineers; occasional travel to a client site; perform miscellaneous software support (e.g., web pages, GUI development, installations, simple research).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires a BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 1-3 years related experience, may include college experience. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Requires Java, Java JSP and Servlet experience; SQL experience (Oracle and MySQL); HTML, CSS and Java script experience; experience with Linux, Solaris, Apache, Tomcat, and LDAP a plus. Must have excellent software testing skills; must work well on a team or independently; must have good communication skills.
