Designer/Senior Designer
(Mechanical Assembly)

SUMMARY:  Design mechanical assemblies with precision tolerances using SolidWorks (3D CAD); interface with machinists, assembly personnel and engineers; build and maintain project drawing packages; maintain ECO system; and act as a team leader for documentation control with PDMWorks.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  Requires an AA degree with 20+ years of related experience or a BS degree. Must have a 3.3 GPA. Requires 5+ years experience with SolidWorks (3D CAD) including configurations, custom properties, and PDMWorks (SolidWorks' Product Data Management), and machine design and machining practices. Experience in mechanical and structural design, as well as knowledge of related product and hardware availability required; must have working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5M 1994, and knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, forming, molding, and casting); must be familiar with engineering drawing and documentation practices; Engineering Configuration Management a plus. A valid/clear driver’s license is required.
