SUMMARY: Supervise the QC Inspectors and QC Technicians; ensure all laboratory staff adhere to strict analytical protocols and quality assurance/quality control, timely delivery of analyses and responses to monitoring requirements; take an active role in insuring quality, accuracy, and accessibility of laboratory data; develop and generate reports and graphs to respond to requests for information from client and oversight agencies; interface with laboratory and other Systems Contractor personnel to discuss problems and develop solutions; interface with client and government representatives; assist in training of new analysts and technicians, directly or indirectly; perform tasks according to internal operating procedures; use commercially available software packages for spreadsheets and database management; ensure implementation of effective repair, preventive maintenance, and tracking programs; participate in personnel actions such as salary adjustments, performance reviews, discipline, and terminations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires a BS degree in Chemistry, Statistics or a science related field with 5 years experience in an analytical laboratory or chemical demilitarization facility with experience in quality assurance or quality control. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Supervise 8-12 subordinate staff members to meet environmental laboratory and air monitoring quality and performance objectives in support of demilitarization of chemical munitions; must have the ability to work on the Umatilla Chemical Depot and be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE); experience with personal computer systems beneficial; some statistical background desirable; good communications skills required; demonstrated managerial skills and supervisory experience desirable. A valid/clear driver's license is required.

Applicant selected will be subject to a background investigation, must be a U.S. citizen, and have a valid driver's license, satisfy requirements of National Agency Check and Chemical Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), meet physical requirements, and be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must satisfy requirements of the Employee Unescorted Access Program.
