ENGINEER/RESEARCH ENGINEER (FLUID DYNAMICS)

Job Summary:
- Assist project team in a fast-paced, ever-evolving work environment and make significant contributions to fluid dynamics research, particularly for the energy industry. Assist in areas of fluid dynamics research and testing including leak detection and erosion; provide detailed hardware design including test fixtures; complete data analysis and conduct laboratory experiments and determine project needs and requirements to order materials and supplies; oversee and manage project technical activities, cost, and scheduling; deal directly with customers and supervise technical staff; develop and deliver presentations to customers and lead the promotion of new projects.
Education/Experience:
- Requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with course work in fluids and mechanical design and at least a 3.3 GPA. One year of mechanical engineering experience is preferred (co-op and intern experience may be substituted). Masters preferred. Must have an engineering background; must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills; must be familiar with instrumentation used for laboratory experiments, electronics, and data acquisition systems; must be able to manage projects and promote laboratory capabilities. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
