SR. RESEARCH ENGINEER/PRINCIPAL ENGINEER (DIGITAL ELECTRONICS) Job code: 15-01043*


Job Summary:

    Complete the design, analysis, documentation and verification of high-speed digital electronics; work with FPGAs and embedded processor systems for space-based and high-reliability electronics systems.

Education/Experience:

    Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering with at least a 3.3 GPA and 8+ years experience in Electrical Engineering or related technical field or MS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years related experience. Requires strong experience in design, documentation and verification of high-speed digital electronics, FPGAs, and embedded processor systems, Verilog development methodology and test benching of FPGAs; must have experience in digital system partitioning and advanced function system implementation of FPGAs; must be able to develop specifications, cost, schedule and resource requirements for board-level circuit design; must be able to provide direction to PCB designers, and working within an IPT environment with other disciplines such as electronics packaging, parts, reliability, production and quality assurance. Requires strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Familiarity with cPCI, Xilinx design experience, Spacewire or Firewire is a plus.
