MANAGER-R&D (SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT)

Job Summary:
- Plan, organize, lead, and coordinate the activities of approximately 10 - 12 software development and administrative support staff; oversee the completion of research, requirements development, software design, development, testing, installation and support for multiple Government related projects, project applications include mission management, data acquisition, signal processing, advanced data storage and data analytics for SIGINT, COMINT, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) program areas; critical functions include goal setting and promotion of new business with follow-up project management and systems engineering in these business areas; reports to the department director and together establish strategic objectives for program growth, facilities enhancement, staff development and client cultivation; responsible for meeting utilization, technical and business objectives in support of successful operations.
Education/Experience:
- Requires a BS degree in Computer Science with courses applicable to technology management and business development with at least a 3.3 GPA. Must have 10 years experience in professional-level software development and management experience with evidence of increasing ability and recognition for leading others and administering to their technical and professional needs. Must have an understanding of a wide range of software architecture, development and management; must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; must have proven success in building and sustaining technical programs and high performing teams. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
