Job Summary:

    Attitude Determination and Control analyst capable of supporting the development of spacecraft Attitude Determination and Control Subsystems (ADCS). Candidate will work independently and in team situations to conceptualize, develop, evaluate, and support the design, implementation and verification of the ADCS. The individual will participate on the ADCS design team and will support the Lead Systems Engineer in test, integration, deployment, and on orbit operational activities. The individual will contribute to the development and analysis of future concepts, architectures and technologies for spacecraft ADCS. Strong technical background and ability to learn under the supervision of a senior engineer are required.

Education/Experience:

    Requires a BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with at least a 3.0 GPA and 3-7 years experience in Attitude Determination Control design and analysis, preferably space related. MS in technical field a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with engineers of all relevant disciplines are required; flexibility to multi-task and adapt to changing technologies is a must; must have demonstrated technical expertise in simulation development and control and guidance design for spacecraft vehicles; must be able to review all export-controlled technical information; experience with the development of linear & non-linear systems including hardware-in-the-loop simulation is desired; knowledge of Matlab, Simulink, and C/C++ programming, familiarity with inertial navigations systems, hydraulic and electro-mechanical servos, reaction control systems and propulsion systems is a plus; experience with real-time embedded code development and with test planning and execution is desired; technical knowledge of space systems engineering, feedback control system theory, and/or spacecraft dynamics is desired; excellent analytical skills, knowledge of currently available attitude determination sensors and control hardware is desired. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
