- Design, implementation and testing of control & data handling system, flight computer responsible for CDH and data acquisition from flight cameras, power boards, image processing and control and feedback systems.
- Must be pursuing a MS degree in Physics, Astronomy, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science with at least a 3.0 GPA. Must have 1 year of working experience (paid or unpaid) on suborbital or space payloads, including (a) Design, implementation and testing of C&DH subsystems, (b) Design, implementation and testing of flight electronics. Includes testing in relevant environments, (c) Detailed signal-to-noise modeling and validation for experiments on suborbital or space-based payloads, Must have 1 year of experience (in the lab, in industry, or as a coop or intern) with programming microcontrollers for specific tasks, including (a) Control of sensors (temperature, current), (b) Control of motors. Applicants should have training and experience in basic machining techniques, basic electronic design, PCB design and population, microcontroller programming, programming in C, C++ and Python. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
- Note: Work assignment is in Boulder, Colorado. Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident.
