ASSISTANT DIRECTOR-R&D (SPACE SYSTEMS)

Job Summary:
- Responsible for spaceflight communication systems and/or spacecraft avionics execution, technical performance, marketing, staff development, and advanced research/new product development; lead business development and capture activities across NASA, DoD and commercial space opportunities; support management of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, program managers, and technicians specifically assembled to develop and deliver complex, high-reliability space systems.
Education/Experience:
- Requires a MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with at least a 3.3 GPA. Must have 15 or more years of experience as an electrical engineer and/or manager of an electrical engineering group; must have an extensive background in promotional/business development activities successfully leading capture efforts across commercial and US government clients as well as subsequently effectively managing and executing those programs; must have extensive experience developing radio systems, avionics and/or digital processing system for space or DoD clients. A valid/clear driver's license is required.

- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
