Job Summary:
Manage a group of professionals involved in the solicitation, negotiation, award, and administration to support contracts with Institute clients; solicit proposals; conduct cost/price analysis; negotiate and finalize subcontracts and other agreements (subgrants, CRADA's, etc.) ; administer subcontracts to include closeout; other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
Requires a BS degree in Business or related discipline with at least a 3.0 GPA. Master's Degree preferred. Must have 10+ years experience in management of purchasing/contracts department or group. Must have 5+ years experience in Contracts or Subcontracts negotiation, award and administration and personal computers. Experience with government requirements, primarily FAR and A-133 preferred; preferred experience managing a purchasing department or group; must have experience administering Government subcontracts; must have thorough knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as well as current experience with OMB A-133 requirements and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements; proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word experience preferred; knowledge of general business practices and procedures. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
